Monthly Scholarship Amount

University Students

  • €650 per month

PhD Students

  • €1,025.50 per month

University Teachers, Researchers & Artists

  • Without a PhD and less than 4 years of experience: €734/month
  • With a PhD and less than 10 years of experience: €980/month
  • With a PhD and more than 10 years of experience: €1,050/month

Travel Allowance

Travel grants are provided according to distance:

  • 200–300 km: €50
  • 300–500 km: €100
  • 500–1,000 km: €250
  • 1,000–2,000 km: €350
  • 2,000–3,000 km: €500
  • 3,000–5,000 km: €750
  • 5,000–7,000 km: €1,100
  • More than 7,000 km: €1,500

Eligibility Criteria for National Scholarship Program 2026-2027

  • Open to applicants from all countries
  • Must be enrolled at a university outside Slovakia
  • Master’s students should be enrolled in second-level higher education
  • Undergraduate students must have completed at least 2.5 years of studies
  • Intended only for short-term study/research stays
  • Must receive an invitation or acceptance from a Slovak institution
  • Must submit a study or research plan
  • Language proficiency in Slovak or English may be required
  • Researchers and teachers must meet professional experience requirements
