Eligibility Criteria for Estonia Scholarships 2026

For Summer & Winter Schools

  • Open to Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students
  • Must have completed at least one year of study
  • Must pre-register for the course
  • One applicant can apply for only one course

For Research Grants

  • Must be an academic staff member (lecturer, professor, researcher, etc.)
  • Must hold a position at a higher education institution
  • Must stay in Estonia during the grant period
  • Postdoctoral researchers are not eligible

For Degree & Exchange Scholarships

  • Must have an admission/confirmation letter from an Estonian university
  • Must be from an eligible country
  • Exchange students can receive funding for up to 10 months per year
